Gary Clark Jr.
After winning Best Traditional R&B Performance for the song "Please Come Home" from his Warner Records debut album Blak And Blu in 2014, Clark made a significant impact on the world stage and seemed to never stop touring. The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim, released in 2015, achieved significant international recognition as a critical powerhouse. With the release of This Land, his third full-length studio album, which debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 list and was his third consecutive Top 10 debut, Clark reached even greater heights throughout 2019. Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and other publications praised the album and single of the same name.
Most recently, Clark took home three more Grammy Awards for his work on "This Land," which included Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Contemporary Blues Album. At the 2020 Grammy Awards, Clark also sang his hit song "This Land" with The Roots, who also released their version of the song. Recordings of collaborations have been made with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Alicia Keys, Foo Fighters, Eric Clapton, Booker T. Jones, Andra Day, Eric Clapton, and many more. Clark has had four Grammy Award wins and six nominations overall. JPEG RAW, the fourth and most impressive collection of work that Clark has done so far, will be released by Warner Records in March 2024.
The War and Treaty
One of the most exciting new acts in American music, The War And Treaty was founded in 2014 by Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, a husband and wife team. In addition to their recent GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song for "Blank Page," they were also recognized by the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry, Americana Music Association, and Country Music Association this year. They were also nominated for Duo of the Year by the Country Music Association and Vocal Duo by the Academy of Country Music.
The War and Treaty's major label debut album Lover's Game (Mercury Nashville) was met with critical praise, with the Associated Press claiming, "The colossally talented pair continue their commando, no- limits journey to the top of the music world." Drawing respect from all corners, they have gone on to appear as top-flight collaborators, most recently on "Hey Driver" with Zach Bryan. With a lionhearted sonic blend, both roaring with passion and tender to the touch, The Tennessean notes, "they are unlike any other act in music."
